My Background
I have worked in the behavioral health field for five years in a variety of settings and facilities, including inpatient MAT treatment, children and family community behavioral health, classroom therapeutic learning, infant and family care hospital social work, and home visiting. I am now the sole owner of my private practice, Bloch Therapy PNW.
I received a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from University of Washington School of Social Work with an emphasis in multi-generational practice. I have worked alongside clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, medical trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, behavioral issues, parenting stress, postpartum depression/anxiety, relationship issues, and substance abuse.
I work using a collaborative approach and believe that you are the expert in your own life. I take a non-judgemental and accepting approach to meet you where you are and build a relationship of trust and respect. We will work together to identify any patterns of behavior that you feel are interfering with your life, discuss the ways your family, environment, and society may be reinforcing these, and develop the skills to alter or cope with these patterns more effectively.
I use a strengths-based, person-centered approach to guide my work with all clients. When working with children, I utilize art therapy, play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion focused therapy, mindfulness, and emotional regulation techniques. When working with adolescents, adults, families and individuals, I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), relational and attachment based models, emotionally focused therapy, mindfulness, somatic modalities, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy.
I provide individual and family therapy services. I am a private pay therapist at a rate of $135 an hour and a sliding scale of $70-$110 for those who earn below the median income of Seattle ($80,000).
